Choosing the Right F4 Customs Motorcycle Windshield for the 2018 Honda GL1800 Gold Wing

F4 Customs has the perfect replacement windshield for the 2018 GL1800 Gold Wing. Choose from our 16-inch and 20-inch options, available either at stock width or 2.5 inches wider on each side (simply select the "wide" option when ordering if you want the wider shield). Each option features a thoughtfully designed flip at the top, which effectively increases airlift by an additional 2 inches. For those seeking ultimate protection from wind and road debris, we also offer a robust 24-inch windshield. 

Height Options: 

16-inch: This replacement windshield is ideal for riders who enjoy a shorter shield but still want superior wind protection. It’s available in stock width or 2.5 inches wider on each side (be sure to choose the "wide" option for the enhanced fit). The flip design skillfully directs air upwards, providing an extra 2 inches of lift. 

20-inch: This windshield mirrors the stock height of the 2018 GL1800 Tour model, ensuring a seamless fit. As with the 16-inch option, it comes in both stock width and 2.5 inches wider (remember to select "wide" for the larger shield). The flip at the top guarantees additional airlift for a smoother ride.

Installation Instructions

F4 Customs Replacement Windshield 2018 Honda GL1800

1. On the back side of the OEM hardware are two push pins. Push the middle of the pin with a small object (such as a flat head screwdriver) toward the front of the bike.
2. After the middle of the pin is pushed forward, remove the pins from the hardware. (A small flathead screwdriver may be helpful.)
3. Take both front trim panels off of the front of the shield, by pulling down until they unlock from their position.
4. Remove the four bolts and washers from the existing hardware. Be careful not to lose washers or bolts, you will need these for the new windshield.
5. Remove stock shield.
6. Losen the four bolts that hold the windshield lower mounting bracket to the upper bracket pull the bracket forward and re-tighten. This will allow the shield to be away from the OEM wings when all the way down. See the video below 
7. Replace stock shield with the F4 Customs windshield.
8. Mount the windshield using the same four washers and bolts.
9. Place brackets on both sides of hardware and repin by snapping pin back into place.
10. Clean windshield with the glass cleaner of your choice. It is recommended the first cleaning of the new windshield is done with rubbing alcohol or white vinegar and paper towels.
